EVENT REPORT: Cond Nast traveler Hot List Party Grows, Gets More Interactive
Every year Cond Nast traveler draws hundreds of celebrities, advertisers, and journalists to its Hot List party, taking over the latest hotspot with a vast array of sponsors. This year’s event, held Thursday night at Mansion (the club in the space that once housed Crobar), was no different—except it was bigger, with a larger guest list and more sponsors than ever. Hosted by the magazine’s editor in chief, Klara Glowczewska, and vice president and publisher Elizabeth H. Hughes, the 1,100 attendees (among them Adrien Brody, Ashlee Simpson, Delta Goodrem, and the San Diego Chargers’ Shawne Merriman) joined 13 sponsors including Qantas, Patron, Porsche, and the Mandarin Oriental.

1. Built in 1873 and listed with the National Register of Historic Places, the Silas W. Robbins House opened in November as a bed-and-breakfast. With only five guest rooms, the house has period furnishings along with more modern amenities. These include a tearoom and a dining room with working fireplaces, as well as Wi-Fi access and flat-screen TVs. The house sits on two acres of land in Connecticut, not far from other historic sites and downtown Hartford.

The Glazier Group’s popular South Street Seaport event space has branched out with the new Bridgewaters to Go catering division. With a focus on homemade, fresh foods and a commitment to the use of biodegradable flatware and packaging, the catering outfit provides breakfast items such as French toast with apricot compote and toasted almonds, as well as breakfast pastries, and lunch offerings including Reuben sandwiches, roasted vegetable sandwich, salads, and hot entr es. Delivery is available (for a minimum of eight people) in Lower Manhattan and Midtown on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

EVENT REPORT: Baby Mama Kicks Off Tribeca Film Festival at MoMA
The Tribeca Film Festival went into full swing Wednesday night with the world-premiere screening of the new Tina Fey vehicle Baby Mama. After the film showed at the Ziegfeld Theater, Universal held a party just down 54th Street at the Museum of Modern Art. Faye Dunaway, Danica Patrick, Seth Green, and more Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock cast members than you could think of were among the 1,300 in attendance.
