Multimillionaire Gov. Jon S. Corzine will spare taxpayers a hefty tab and use his own money to pay for his medical treatment following an automobile crash 15 days ago, a spokesman said Friday.

Gov. Jon S. Corzine, in his first public comment since being seriously injured in an automobile accident two weeks ago, said Thursday that he feels blessed to be alive.
